I talked about my kaleidoscope quilt in the last post and here it is! This is Ricky Tims technique. I watched the program on The Quilt Show, fell in love with the technique and ordered the DVD. So here is the first of many beautiful kaleidoscopes...
Round 1

Round 2

Round 3

Round 4

Round 5

Kaleidoscope sewn together

Finished top! I used my scraps in the first border so there was less waste :)

And the other project that was on my design wall this week is a tablerunner:

I love this Kaleidoscope block! I'll have to see if I can find out how to get the instructions...looks like great fun!
Now that's a kaleidoscope! Very pretty. Did you know what colors/fabrics you'd be using up front, or did you just work it out as you went along?
That is a really neat pattern! I can see why you love it! :)
Wow, that is really fun to see come together step by step! You did a great job of taking photos. Thanks for sharing!
Your color choices are stunning. You have a well decorated design board.
The table runner is another winner.
Your Kaleidoscope blocks are amazing. I fell in love with them. I'd like to make some of my own. Happy quilting.
