Then I changed direction and made this quilt for Amy...
The first purple was much too large for a lap quilt and I had tons of 5" squares left over so I made a smaller one...
It is a two block quilt using the 54-40 or fight block and the cups and saucers block. Amy's quilt and the purple lap quilt are variations of the first quilt. It had so many flying geese blocks, which I can't make using my 5" squares so I substituted 4 patches to create a different look.

That is a wonderful quilt. My daughter in law tells me that her favorite color is purple. Would you mind if I copied your quilt.....
