Calaveras Cookie Quilt
My friend, Teresa, has been making Calaveras Cookies as wedding favors for her 2 nieces that recently got married. I thought it would make a wonderful wallhanging so I made this and gave it to her for her birthday. Needless to say, she was thrilled beyond words and cannot wait to hang it up on her wall. I even had Day of the Dead fabric left over from a shirt I made for my husband to use on the border and for the backing.

I have a favorite scrappy quilt that has been named by my friends as "Kathy's Quilt". It is a two block quilt that when put together, has the appearance of curved lines, when all the seams are actually straight.
This is the most recent variation of the quilt:

Baltimore Blues Quilt
The small group that meets at my house once a month is doing "Baltimore Blues" from Fat Kat Patterns. This was a 2008 block of the month and I needed something completely different to work on so I picked this quilt to make. It is raw edge machine applique and I am very pleased with how block one turned out!

French Braid Quilt
I go on a quilt retreat twice a year... S'Mores Quilt Retreat at the Hummingbird Music Camp in the Jemez Mountains. My friend, Barbara, taught us the French Braid technique and this is the quilt I made from her kit. Barbara found fantastic variegated fabric... all we had to do was cut it into strips. It made this fabulous quilt!Tuesday, November 8, 2011

Oh how I have been lazy! Not blogging, not quilting, not doing much of anything, but then everyone needs a break now and then.
My Tuesday group all made this beautiful tote bag. It is nice and large for travelling with many pockets inside and out.

This is the 2009 BOM quilt from the Over the Mountain Quilt Quild.

A couple from my church adopted twin boys so these are the quilts I made for them:
