Hi Ho, Hi Ho

It's off to Houston I go and I am so excited to be going this year. My friend Ellen moved to Houston over a year ago and I have been wanting to visit her. Just so happens my visit coincides with the International Quilt Festival and, of course, I planned it that way! Ellen and I are going to have lots of fun and I might even persuade her to become a quilter. She's such a crafty person and she enjoys and appreciates all kinds of needle arts. We will be at festival all day Friday and if we don't get enough, we'll be back on Saturday. Lots of other things are planned... who knows, this might just be something we do all the time :)

I'm going to look up Billie Lauder so we can finally meet face to face and exchange gigantic hugs.

Check back... there will be pictures!

Hello Kitty Quilt

Quilted this for Siggi, her Hello Kitty Quilt. She sure had a time finding Hello Kitty fabric!

October BOM

Finally remembered to post this picture of the October BOM for the calendar quilt. I really like the way this block turned out and it was easy to make.

Darcy's Quilt

I made this quilt for my new granddaughter, Darcy, but neglected to get a picture of it before I sent it off to Baltimore.

So here it is!

Rambi

You may ask, what exactly is a "Rambi"? Well, one very blustery winter day, my husband was bored, but it was too nasty to work outside. We had this pile of stuff that we had been saving to make into yard art. We just started creating... welding... using anything of no value that we could find. And Rambi was created. The name comes from the fact that he/she is made up of Dodge Ram truck parts (the Ram) and BMW motorcycle parts (the B). When we first placed him/her in the yard, people driving or walking up the side road would stop... look ... and sometimes come back with a camera!
